Shree Vidyadhiraja Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital Out Patient Department has become popular in and around Thiruvananthapuram.

The New Out Patient Department has facilities for different units and consultation rooms along with screening rooms, Medical Superintendent’s Room, dispensing room, registration cum records room, patient’s waiting area etc. It has a Clinical Laboratory where basic Lab investigations like Haematology tests, Biochemistry Tests, Urine tests and Pregnancy tests are conducted. The Hospital also provides X-ray, ECG and Ultrasound facilities.

Department of Medicine

Overview of the unit

The department has top diagnostic facilities and doctors who offer high quality healthcare and consulting based on homeopathic medicine. The department is a source of clinical case analysis and serves affordable treatment to the patients through the OPD and IPDs.

A number of extension programmes such as health awareness programmes and medical camps are also conducted in rural areas in collaboration with Department of Community Medicine.  The main purpose of these training programmes is to reach to the people in the community who find it difficult to avail the medical facilities due to low socio economic status. Informative health talks are given to the public during these camps. Free check-up and medicines are supplied. After these health camps, people are given information as to how to visit the hospital for further follow-ups to avail free treatment for 3 months from the date of the health camp.

The unit has adequate infrastructure and facilities for case taking and examination. The Hospital provides laboratory investigations, day care facility and in-patient care at nominal rates.

A thorough case taking, case examination and analysis is done by the students and interns who are under training for each case coming to OPD. The medicines are prescribed after all the steps of case taking are followed.

Paediatric Unit

The Paediatric unit at Shree Vidyadhiraja Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital is functioning as a fully-fledged unit. The Clinical activities are dealing with in-patient and out-patient care of children.

A number of extension programmes such as School health camps and Anganawadi visits are also conducted in rural areas and forms an important part of the departmental activities. Informative health talks are given to the children during these camps. Free check-up and medicines are supplied. They can avail free treatment for 3 months from the date of the school health camp at the Hospital.
